GB QV These SG8 are printed from plate 36 BS25f (the "f" is for stamp NJ because it shows J flaw (faint). Plate 36 is a very early transitional plate, that is, over 90% of stamps from this plate had Maltese cross cancels, not a numbered cancel. The 176 cancel is from Chelmsford type A.
